seems like a weird question...there are so many of them to choose from...but i guess its a standard qustion on any tribe dedicated to a band or musician.
im partial to bunny songs. halfrabbit halfdog is one i listen to repeatedly and never get sick of. i also like gore in beans...BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY BUNNY bunny bunny! i always want to put on my bunny ears when i listen to deerhoof.

These guys played 3 shows in honolulu for ladyfest hawaii, a few weeks ago. they were friggin' awesome. bands never come out here it really sucks. I was fans of there's for a little while already (I bought their apple o cd last year and loved it) so I was very excited about them coming here.

yeah they rule.

random things I like about deerhoof:

Greg I think is the focal point of their show. His drumming is so intense it's really enjoyable to watch. Ok, Satomi's little "dancing" is cool too, haha.

Satomi has a really cool base. I just saw a picture of the beatles somewhere on here and paul mcartney has the same one!

I was recently comissioned to make a friend an introductory Deerhoof mix CD. It took me a while to put together (some of) their best songs in a good order, representing all the albums and not making it too long--an 80 minute Deerhoof mix would overwhelm ANYBODY especially a new listener. I pared it down to 18 tracks, which just borders on being too much but not quite, and though there are some great songs that just wouldn't fit I like how it flows together. Any comments? Would anyone else like to share their "perfect" Deerhoof mix?

In many reviews of Milk Man, critics refer to it as their "seventh" album, but I only know of six.
1. The Man, The King, The Girl; 2. Halfbird; 3. Holdypaws; 4. Reveille; 5. Apple O; 6. Milk Man

I am aware of a 7" they released prior to The Man, The King, The Girl (the one with "M'Lady" in the title)...is that what people are referring to? Am I missing something?
